Derek Hough is backing the rumored Dancing With the Stars Couple romance

Step aside, Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko. There’s a new one Dancing with the stars showmance on the dance floor, and even judge Derek Hough backs it up. Former bachelor Jenn Tran and pro Sasha Farber have fueled dating rumors since their first cha-cha-cha in week 1 on Dancing with the stars Season 33. However, it wasn’t until their rumba that ‘Kiss the Girl’ came out The Little Mermaid during “Disney Night” in Week 5 that the judges – especially Derek – really noticed.

After Jenn and Sasha’s rumba, which ended with the pair almost kissing, Derek commented on how much he wants Jenn and Sasha to date off the dance floor. “Is it weird to say I’m sending this?” Derek said before Jenn confirmed that she and Sasha were just playing characters. “He’s so much better than Prince Eric,” Jenn said.

Along with Derek, his sister, host Julianne Hough, also took note of Jenn and Sasha’s chemistry and even criticized Sasha for kissing Jenn on the forehead and not her lips at the end of the routine. “A kiss on the forehead. Sascha, come on!” said Julianne, to which Sasha said he wanted the routine to remain “elegant” and “stylish.” Jenn added, “He got nervous.”

When asked by Julianne if their “chemistry” makes a difference on the dance floor, Jenn and Sasha laughed as the crowd sang to them before opening up about their partnership. “I think if we didn’t have such a good relationship, our dancing wouldn’t be good at all. We trust each other so much, we know each other so well, so that’s why this works so well,” Jenn said.

Although Jenn and Sasha haven’t confirmed their relationship, Sasha continued to fuel the romance rumors between them with a comment about Dancing with the stars‘ official Instagram of his and Jenn’s dance for ‘Disney Night’. “😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌 @jenntran,” he wrote. Many users also commented on the post wishing Sasha gave Jenn a kiss during the routine. “I was hoping he would kiss the girl,” one user wrote.

Jenn previously spoke about her collaboration with Sasha in an interview with We weekly in October 2024, as he reveals the one thing he doesn’t like about her. “(He) always wants to make sure I’m doing well. I wouldn’t really describe him as tough,” she continued. “He really pushes me to be my best. But he is also very caring. He is such a compassionate man,” she said. She continued, “Sasha hates it when I’m late. I’m kind of a timely person, depending on the time, of the day, but he’s so punctual. Sometimes he picks me up for rehearsals just because driving is a lot, and I hate it. He’ll like it if you come five minutes early, then he’ll expect me to be there.’
