Davante Adams wasn’t happy with the Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback play during the 2023 campaign. The team’s offseason plan for the position heading into 2024 reportedly hasn’t addressed his concerns.

According to SI.com’s Albert Breer, “Those in Las Vegas thought his attitude toward the team changed in March, when the team signed Gardner Minshew II. Apparently that wasn’t a good enough quarterback plan.”

Adams, who was on the trade block in 2023 but ultimately stayed with the Raiders at the time, was traded to the New York Jets last week after requesting treatment. His first game against New York on Sunday night didn’t go exactly to plan; he was targeted nine times in the 37–15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, catching three passes for 30 yards.

But the move from Minshew and Aidan O’Connell to Aaron Rodgers is without a doubt a major upgrade. In that regard, life in the Big Apple should be smoother for Adams.
