1 dead and 3 seriously injured after crash on Hawaii Island

WAIKOLOA (HawaiiNewsNow) – One person is dead and three people are seriously injured after a crash on Hawaii island, officials said.

The crash was reported just after 9 a.m. on Highway 190, also known as Kona Upper Road.

A portion of Highway 190 was closed in both directions, but has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time.
