When is the USA’s next match at the 2024 Copa America against Uruguay? Schedule, dates, times, roster and how to watch USMNT matches

The United States men’s national team began their 2024 Copa America adventure on June 23 with a routine 2-0 victory over Bolivia, marking the start of the tournament host’s continental challenge.

But after a surprise 2-1 defeat to Panama in their second group match, they now face a huge task against Uruguay in their final match to progress to the knockout stages.

This tournament is of great importance to coach Gregg Berhalter and his staff as it is one of the last times he will see his players in action in a competitive tournament before the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the US.

With mostly friendlies and no World Cup qualifiers, this is a crucial test for the USMNT to see how they measure up to America’s best, and how far they still have to go.

The USMNT last played in the Copa America when it was last in the U.S., in 2016 to celebrate the Copa America’s centennial. The U.S. finished in fourth place and defeated Ecuador in the quarterfinals after winning Group A, but were crushed by Argentina in the semifinals. The U.S. then lost the third-place match to Colombia.

Before that, the US had participated in the Copa America three times. The best was a legendary fourth-place finish in Uruguay with mostly amateur players in 1995, a year before MLS was founded and a year after the motley crew of the US national team were eliminated from their group at the 1994 World Cup on home soil.
