Nicki Minaj denies hiring Kelsey Nicole for Loci Sneaker Ad

Have Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion beef secretly made their way into an entrepreneurial venture? Well, that’s what hip-hop fans seemed to think. Earlier this month, a campaign for Nicki Minaj’s sneaker line, Loci, went viral after users online noticed it featured Megan Thee Stallion’s former boyfriend, Kelsey Nicole.

However, on October 6, Nicki used the downtime from Pink Friday 2 World Tour to tackle the growing resistance. In one after uploaded to X (formerly Twitter), Nicki slammed The shadow room for promoting ‘a lie’.

“She posted a picture in my sneakers,” she wrote. “Neither I nor my company knew anything about it until she posted it. So she did what a lot of people did when they received my sneakers: they put a photo in them.

Nicki complimented the image. “Kelsey went all out with this professional-looking backdrop,” she wrote. “But she is not professionally associated with my sneaker brand in any way… By the way, didn’t Kelsey tell them she wasn’t modeling for the Barbz line? Did she just let them think that? I have to catch up with you all.”

Kelsey Nicole has now deleted the message. But that hasn’t stopped fans of both Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj from criticizing her for seemingly trying to add more heat to their long-standing feud.
