Miley Cyrus was the top choice to replace Katy Perry as a judge on American Idol, but negotiations failed due to financial constraints.

According to Life and stylea source shared that the show’s organizers are watching the show Flower crooner to add her to the panel, but her whooping salary demands became a barricade.

The source suggested that backup singer Carrie Underwood will take the judge’s seat vacated by the judge Dark horse singer.

“It is common knowledge internally that Miley Cyrus was the network and producers’ first choice to replace Katy, but adding to Katy’s already high salary was never on the table,” a network insider said.
