Mock draft roundup for Chicago Bulls draft picks

play

The Chicago Bulls are the No. 11 overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft, scheduled for Wednesday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

There are a number of options for the Bulls and coach Billy Donovan, especially considering the team’s needs all around. While players like Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht, G-Leaguer Ron Holland and Colorado’s Cody Williams are on most draft boards, it doesn’t seem like anyone can really pin down the Bulls’ plans.

Who will draft the Chicago Bulls? Here’s what some of the top NBA experts think Chicago will do with its No. 11 pick:

  • The choice: Cody Williams, F, Colorado
  • The reason: “On offense, his ability to attack the edge of the dribble both in the half court and in transition, as well as his potential as a passer, make him an intriguing player, although his ceiling at that end of the floor depends on his 3-point shooting… Defensively, he looks the part of a wing stopper, with his agility allowing him to defend guards, while his length and size should help him guard bigger wings as he gets stronger Williams is a great player. “

  • The choice: Devin Carter, PG, Providence
  • The reason: “Carter is a ready-made defensive guard with great offensive skills. He would give the Bulls flexibility after trading (Josh) Caruso to OKC and acquiring Josh Giddey.”
  • The choice: Jared McCain PG, Duke
  • The reason: The addition of Josh Giddey means that if Chicago is going to expand its perimeter, it won’t be with a nonshooter, according to Adam Finkelstein of CBS Sports. McCain appears to be a good fit next to Giddey and Coby White, likely allowing the Bulls to move on from Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. A big man like Zach Edey is also a possibility here.
  • The choice: Rob Dillingham, PG, Kentucky
  • The reason: “I would post Nikola Topic here, but I can’t imagine the Bulls taking the long view with an injured player. That’s why we’re turning to a developing offensive talent.”
  • The choice: Nikola Topić, PG, Serbia
  • The reason: “The Serbian point guard, who is sidelined due to a knee injury, has great size for his position; likes to drive to the rim and can finish with either hand; can shoot the 3, but will need to improve his percentage. Strong passer , not flashy, but sees the lane and can make the right pass.”
