Esports fantasy platform PlayerX has partnered with former NFL player Drew Brees

Fantasy esports platform PlayerX has collaborated Drew Breesa former NFL player and TV personality known for his long and productive NFL career.

Through the partnership, Brees will invest in PlayerX and become the brand’s ambassador across commercial and promotional assets, effectively making Brees the face of the brand for years to come.

Drew Brees is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, having spent twenty seasons in the NFL. Brees was part of the 2010 Super Bowl-winning New Orleans Saints team and has worked as a television personality and coach since his retirement. The deal with PlayerX is the first major investment in esports for the 45-year-old former player.

Brees and PlayerX, a fantasy esports platform owned by World Champion Fantasy, announced that the former football player will be part of all its promotions, consumer-facing product rollouts and B2B interactions.

Brees emphasized the importance of PlayerX as a family-friendly product that does not involve gambling and is open to a younger demographic. He said he has “never seen a more innovative vision of what fan interactivity with sports and media can be.”

PlayerX offers in-game stats and fantasy features and is a global partner of esports data company GRID Esports. PlayerX and GRID have exclusive data and video rights agreements, meaning GRID’s esports tournament data can be used by PlayerX to improve the user experience.
