Sean Dyche says he is “not bothered” by speculation over his future and plans to complete the remainder of his deal at Goodison Park.

The upcoming takeover and the new stadium herald a new era for Everton. Asked whether the takeover has caused him to dream about what could possibly happen in the future, Dyche said: “I was brought in because of the reality of the ongoing situation. It was clearly much worse than I thought.

“Dreams are for another day. At this stage it is still reality. With one’s tenure at a football club there is the idea that you leave your imprint on it.

“We don’t know what will happen next. If The Friedkin Group comes in, that will change things, but we won’t know until it happens in its entirety, so we’ll have to wait and see, but for now that’s how it is.” based on realities.

“Where the club thinks it should be and then the reality of bringing in money and balancing the books better with financial fair play and PSR and all these different challenges, and bringing in players who can develop in the team.

“Players who are not that complete and have to develop into the team and then one day have to be sold and have to melt it all down and make it all work like magic – it’s just not that easy.

“It was a huge challenge and it still is. It is an ongoing challenge. I don’t know what’s around the corner, all I can guarantee is that we are working very, very hard and we will continue to do so. “
