Liverpool are monitoring the situation of Juanlu Sánchez from Seville

Liverpool are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Juanlu Sánchez’s situation at Sevilla as uncertainty remains over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Anfield.

The England international is out of contract with Liverpool at the end of the season and so far there are no signs of a new contract being offered to the full-back.

The 25-year-old is a generational talent and talks are sure to take place later in the season, but Real Madrid’s interest could complicate matters for the Premier League side as the La Liga champions investigate the player’s situation at Anfield keep an eye on it.

Should Alexander-Arnold leave Liverpool at the end of the season, the Reds could turn to La Liga for his replacement.

Sources have said so Caught offside that the Merseyside club is one of many Premier League teams monitoring the situation of Juanlu Sánchez at Sevilla, who is out of contract with the Spanish team in 2026.

Sevilla are willing to consider an offer of around €25 million for the 21-year-old next summer, as 2025 would be the ideal time to sell the versatile star if he fails to secure new terms at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Premier League scouts have been closely monitoring Sánchez’s performances this season, with Arsenal and West Ham also showing interest in the Spanish star.

No formal contact has been made yet, but the Sevilla talent is believed to be open to leaving the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Who is Liverpool target Juanlu Sánchez?

Sánchez is a natural right winger who can play as a right back or right winger. The Spaniard has even been deployed in central midfield for Sevilla this season and this versatility is very attractive to top clubs in Europe.

The 21-year-old has been with the La Liga club since 2015, after joining their youth academy. Since making his first-team debut in 2021, he has played in 44 matches. The Spaniard enjoyed success with his country at the Olympic Games in Paris this year. and all this experience is vital at such a young age.

Sánchez remains an attractive option for several Premier League clubs and Liverpool will continue to keep an eye on the full-back until Alexander-Arnold’s contract at Anfield expires in 2025.
