“This is probably my proudest moment as a hockey player. It means a lot. You know, it’s a big responsibility, but I’m ready for it. I’m more than happy.”

It is clear that Dahlin is taking the appointment as the Sabres’ new captain very seriously. Calling it the proudest moment of his hockey career shows how important it is for the 2018 first overall pick.

This is an exciting time for the Sabres, and it will be fun to see how the Dahlin leadership era in Buffalo starts from here.
