New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a concussion during Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.

Nabers took a hard hit in the fourth quarter of the loss while trying to latch onto a pass from Daniel Jones when he fell out of bounds. The receiver left the game and headed to the locker room shortly afterwards.

In a post on Instagram after the match, Nabers assured fans he was “all good”.

Before leaving with the injury, Nabers had 115 receiving yards on 12 receptions, continuing an excellent rookie season. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has 386 receiving yards and 35 receptions, leading the NFL in both categories. His three receiving touchdowns are also tied for the league lead early this season.

Nabers’ phenomenal rookie year is now coming to a temporary halt, although it is unclear if he will miss any game action. Players typically return from a concussion in about a week and a half, although that timeline depends on the severity of the concussion.

Since New York played on Thursday, it has the next ten days off before facing the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday. That time frame gives Nabers a chance to potentially be ready for Week 5, but the Giants likely won’t rush his return.

After Thursday’s loss, New York is on its way to a 1-3 start to the year, losing its first two games to the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Commanders before picking up a win against the Cleveland Browns last week.
