FA Cup: Bishop’s Cleeve wants to ‘continue dream’ against Chesham

Bishop’s Cleeve defeated Torquay thanks to a Ross Langworthy double and Ethan Dunbar’s strike in a draw described as the biggest match in Southern League Division One South history.

“It suddenly put us on the football map. People from all over Europe called me and couldn’t believe the result and how convincing the performance was,” said Collicutt.

“It took a while for the result to sink in. I was on a high. It’s just something you dream about. Over the years you have ups and downs, but when you have a game like that it puts everything into perspective. “

If they can repeat this performance against Chesham, they will equal their best ever FA Cup run by reaching the fourth qualifying round – one step ahead of the first round itself.

“I’m very excited and really looking forward to it,” the Miters boss added.

“Chesham will prepare well, they are a solid side and they have made a good start in the league, so it will be a very difficult game for us.

“The boys will be ready. If we show up, we’ll give them a game, if we don’t show up, we’ll get beat.”
