Less TV watching in Poland in August

Poles spent fewer hours in front of the television in August, but still made time for the Olympic Games.

Polish viewers spent an average of 3 hours and 31 minutes a day in front of TV screens in August, just three minutes more than in July. The Olympic Games in Paris, which the Polish public followed closely, accounted for eight of the 10 most-watched TV programs in August.

Streaming’s share of total TV viewing rose to 8.7% in August (from 8.6% in July). YouTube and Netflix’s share of total TV viewing remained unchanged at 2.1% and 1.9% respectively, and “others” rose slightly (up 0.1% from July).
