Where to get Artisan’s Acuity in The War Within

Artisan’s Acuity is the rarest resource you can obtain when it comes to crafting professions. Unlike most resources, it is not obtained through gathering. Instead, it usually occurs as a byproduct of successful initial crafting.

First time crafting

A first-time craft is exactly what it sounds like: a crafting task done for the first time for your profession. Virtually every item that can be crafted awards Artisan’s Acuity as a bonus reward upon a successful first-time craft. You’ll know if an item qualifies for this reward when you see “First-Time Craft” when viewing the recipe in your profession log.

Orders for pattern art

Eventually, you’ll run out of your first craftables to earn Artisan’s Acuity from and have to harvest it using a completely different method. When this happens, the best way to get more is to Orders for pattern artThese are special crafting quests that you’ll receive from many NPCs from WoW, including familiar favorites like Millhouse Manastorm (yes, really).

To access this, go to your craft profession table and click on Make orders button at the bottom. From here, look at the top of the screen and select PatronThere may be a number next to the word, indicating how many potential NPC Crafting Orders you currently have.

Selecting one of these NPC orders will reveal their requirements and what you need to do to fulfill them. Often these NPCs will provide some of their own materials, making it a bit easier for you to complete. The last important thing to look out for is the actual rewardsas not every Patron Crafting Order will reward Artisan’s Acuity. Only a few do, so be careful which ones you decide to complete.

Once you’ve exhausted all the Patron Crafting Orders that reward you with Artisan’s Acuity, your only option is to wait for new ones to come in to earn more.
