Jalen Hurts Gets Engaged to Long-Term Girlfriend Bryonna Burrows

Jalen Hurts and his longtime girlfriend, Bryonna Rivera Burrows, are officially engaged.

The Eagles quarterback confirmed the news in a joint interview with Essence on Friday, after going public with their relationship in 2023.

That came after Hurts and Burrows, who works as an AI partner at IBM, caused a stir when she was spotted wearing a massive diamond ring during the Eagles’ season opener in São Paulo, Brazil, last Friday.

Their engagement featured a violinist, candles and red roses overlooking the beautiful ocean, as seen in photos of the couple obtained by the outlet.

In one photo, Hurts and Burrows were both dressed brightly in white. In another, they held each other.

“I knew for a long time (that she was special),” Hurts told Essence last summer as part of the magazine’s May/June 2023 issue. “I mean, so far in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling.

“I think that’s why we’ve gotten to where we are today.”

Hurts and Burrows had been in an on-again, off-again relationship since meeting at the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and he was the school’s star quarterback and a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

The quarterback, who is known to keep his personal life under wraps, played three seasons at Alabama before transferring to the University of Oklahoma in 2019.

The couple made a rare red carpet appearance at Time100 Next at Second in New York City last October.

Hurts had previously spoken openly with Burrows when she celebrated with him on the court as the Eagles defeated the 49ers in the NFC Championship game in January 2023.

Burrows is expected to be in attendance when the Eagles take on the Falcons on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
