Striker out for international match due to Achilles tendon injury

Niclas Fullkrug will miss the Nations League match between Germany and the Netherlands on Tuesday evening.

The striker, who moved from Borussia Dortmund to West Ham earlier this summer, has been called up to represent his country in the current Nations League matches.

Fullkrug (31) scored against Hungary in the 5-0 defeat last season and thus continues his good form at international level.

However, the 31-year-old will not play in Germany’s second match of the current international break after being ruled out with an Achilles tendon injury (Christian Falk).

It is not yet known when the striker will return, but with the Hammers playing Fulham on Saturday, it is reasonable to assume the German will also be out of Premier League action.
