Stephen A. went to X to share with fans how he gets around New York City and other areas.

“On The Move,” he wrote in a video on X.

In the video, Stephen A. dons one of his classic suits to travel ahead of the start of the NFL season.

He stepped out of a van and walked toward a sleek black helicopter sitting on the tarmac of an airport.

Stephen A. walked almost in slow motion towards the helicopter before climbing into his vehicle.

Fans were quick to joke about the star’s stylish manner in the comments of his video.

“Bro walking around like he has the Infinity Stones,” one fan said.

“Bro thinks he has Aura lol,” another fan said.

“That guy thinks he’s playing Thursday night,” said a third fan.

“The slow walk, the neatening of the coat and looking around like he’s a boss,” said a fourth fan.

“How many times did you practice that walk?” a fifth fan asked.

Stephen A. is making himself heard on social media, while tensions arise behind the scenes at First Take.

According to a source working with First Take, ESPN’s signing of Jason McCourty was a move by Stephen A. to gain more attention for himself on the show.

“I mean, that’s another strange move, something that gives Stephen A. Smith’s sphere of influence even more power,” said a source working at First Take.

“I got a lot of texts just saying, ‘WTF?’ or ‘Here we go, another man in the court of ‘King’ Stephen A. Smith.'”

First viewing figures

First Take continued to gain success last year under the direction of Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim.

ESPN’s weekday debate program averaged 496,000 viewers in 2023, making it the most-watched year in the program’s history.

The average number of inhabitants in December was 611,000, an increase of 24% year-on-year compared to 2022.

The show also received over 250 million views on YouTube.

First Take has been joined by the arrival of Shannon Sharpe, alongside Smith and Qerim after he left Fox Sports’ Undisputed.

“Everything is being done to please Stephen A. Smith, now even more so by involving one of his ‘buddies’ in the show.

“We already have Shannon Sharpe as his right-hand man, and now we have another one to add to his ‘favourites on the pitch’.

“This move is to show Stephen A. Smith even more love, to do everything for him and to make him feel like he is the leader, the captain of the boat.

“This is turning into a ‘Stephen A. Smith’ friends club, and that’s not good.

“It gives him more power and space to do and say what he wants, and to behave the way he wants.”
