Tony Hawk Pro Skater Fans Are Excited After This Social Media Revamp

The official social media accounts for Tony Hawk Pro Skater have been revamped in honor of the series’ 25th anniversary. And it’s got some fans pretty excited.

While the news that YouTube, X/Twitter, and Facebook are getting commemorative banners might not sound all that big, what is interesting to note is that all of the images now have a new copyright notice for 2024. This suggests that Activision recently renewed the series’ copyright… and that’s the bit that got the rumor mill going.

The most notable news, however, is that Activision is celebrating the series’ 25th anniversary “all month long”… leading some to hope that remasters 3 and 4 could be released sooner than expected.

While Pro Skater 1 and 2 already got remakes a while ago, fans missed out on the planned remakes of 3 and 4 after Vicarious Visions merged with Activision Blizzard in 2022 (thanks, TheGamer).

And if Spyro is to be believed, fans may be right. In January, a new tweet from the official Spyro the Dragon Twitter/X account—and then a website update—raised hopes that a new installment was on the way.

Earlier this year, images of a cancelled futuristic sci-fi game Call of Duty, which was in development at Tony Hawk’s studio Neversoft, leaked online.

The footage came from a cancelled Xbox 360-era Call of Duty game known as Future Warfare (or “NX1” internally). The game was originally in development at Neversoft, which eventually merged with Infinity Ward in 2014.
