‘So f*****g stupid’: CoD fans demand ability to skip ‘cringe’ end-of-game feature

Losing a game Call of duty is humiliating, but getting through a brief game-winning kill cam before returning to the main menu was quick enough that it didn’t matter too much. In Black Ops 6However, Treyarch has brought back the Winner’s Circle, and players are already over it.

Cod players lucky enough to crack early access to the beta for Black Ops 6 This week they are crying foul over the annoyance of the Winner’s Circle, which shows the top three players from the previous match after the final killcam. During this time you can’t exit the game and go to the main menu, so you’re stuck looking at the awful player skins and enemy emotes.

A clip was shared on the Black Ops 6 subreddit on Aug. 31, in which the three members of the Winner’s Circle repeatedly spam emotes and cancel the animation halfway through. The Winner’s Circle doesn’t even display stats or information about the previous game, meaning it serves as little more than a chance for top players to show off their already hard-to-see operator skins with janky emote animations. “The Winner’s Circle is so fucking goofy, please let me skip this shit,” the post’s author wrote.

The worst part is how long it takes, with players having to wait nearly 20 seconds in the lobby at the end of the round instead of just queuing for another game. “I’d rather stare at a blank screen than watch this cringe-fest,” another player said. “(I) hated Winner’s Circle in Black Ops 3 and now they’re bringing it back – who the fuck asked for this?”

One player even went so far as to suggest leaving the game early to avoid the Winner’s Circle altogether, while other fans of the feature made their stance clear, finding the animation-cancelling emotes hilarious. Most agreed on one thing, though: “It’s so shockingly long, I just want to play a new match,” the post’s author concluded.

It is clearly a ploy to encourage players to take a trip to the Cod Save for a fresh new operator skin, so that’s definitely not going anywhere anytime soon. Personally, I just want to be able to change my loadout while going through Winner’s Circle. Is that too much to ask, Activision?

We’ll see if the Winner’s Circle gets an adjustment when Black Ops 6 will be officially launched in October.
