Best Smite 2 Gods for Beginners

When choosing a god to play as SMITE 2there may be too many choices to choose from. Not only do you have to select a specific god, but they all fall into niche roles and categories, meaning they have a distinct playstyle.

Some of the gods in SMITE 2 are also easier to use (and master) than others. If you’re new to the game or even just picking it up after a few years, there are some notable choices you’ll want to make with that form as a good way to relearn the basics. If you can learn how to build them well and use their abilities, these easier god picks can quickly become incredibly powerful when fighting other players in SMITE 2.

The Best Beginner Gods in SMITE 2

Some of the best gods you can get used to SMITE 2 Are: Anhur, Anubis, Athena, Fenrir, Kukulkan, Neith, Susano, And Ymir. First of all, make sure that you have your BEAT And SMITE 2 accounts before you start playing.

1) Anhur

Anhur is one of the ranged hunters you can play as SMITE 2. The only complicated attack combination you’ll need to worry about with Anhur is lining up the large pillar he summons with his throw; you’ll want to throw enemies into the pillar to stun and slow them down. Other than that, he’s relatively easy to play, with flexible abilities that take advantage of several distinct builds. He’s one of the more accessible gods to master.

2) Anubis

Anubis is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a powerful mage to start your adventure with. SMITE 2 journey. The big downside to him is that he is relatively fragile, like all Mages, meaning that you can die early in the game. However, as you get closer to the end of the game and build up more lifesteal, it should be much harder for opponents to catch up to you. Anubis’ passive lifesteal is a huge boon that makes him very difficult to take down.

3) Athens

Next up we have Athena, a Guardian. She is a tanky god who stands on your frontline and helps allies in any way she can. Athena is a good choice in SMITE 2 if you want to be a team player. What’s nice is that if you’re having trouble getting from one side of the map to the other, you can use her ultimate to get across quickly, and appear in front of allies to help them out. It makes her a fantastic Guardian and a solid choice if you’re new to this role.

4) Fenrir

Fenrir is an aggressive jungle character, capable of jumping into a fight and attacking an enemy on his terms. The problem is finding a way out if you can’t successfully sneak up on them. Mastering Fenrir means understanding and finding the best opportunity, and it’s the epitome of jungle play in SMITE 2Luckily, he has some life steals that make him harder to defeat, and you can build some tanky items to increase his health and defense.

5) Kukulkan

If you don’t want to play as Anubis and try your luck as a Mage, Kukulkan is a solid choice. Unlike Anubis, he doesn’t have natural lifesteal, but his attacks are some of the most powerful you can unleash. There’s also an ability in Kukulkan’s kit that makes it easier for him to escape if you need to get away quickly during a fight. As a Mage, it’s always easy to take down a Kukulkan player, but the sheer damage he deals with his abilities makes it a challenge to do so. Anyone fighting you will need to be careful, though.

6) No

Another Hunter you might want to try is Neith; one of the default starting gods from the original BEATHer kit is relatively simple and gives a good insight into how SMITE 2 work and what you can expect from other gods with more complicated ability kits. Another good thing about her is her global ultimate. With this she can hit any enemy god as long as her allies can see them. She can use that to defeat an enemy, or help someone out when they are trying to escape. She also has a jump can that she can use to leave a fight. Neith was a great starter god in BEATand the tradition continues in SMITE 2.

7) Susana

Another slightly more complicated jungle god is Susano. Many of his abilities work well together, and what can make him difficult is how they all work together. You’ll want to keep an eye on their cooldowns and use them to quickly deal a lot of damage to an enemy. However, he has plenty of escape options, meaning he can deal damage to an enemy and then escape before they retaliate. Susano takes some time to master, but he’s a fantastic god for taking that next step into some of the harder choices ahead.

8) Ymir

The last god we want to mention is Ymir. He is a Guardian that stuns enemies and traps them behind his ice wall, preventing escape. He is an excellent choice for crowd control that helps allies secure last-ditch attacks. After you master his abilities, you can play around with his traditional tanky builds and try to build up more damage, making him a dangerous opponent in his own right rather than a conventional Guardian in SMITE 2.
