Solheim Cup: Charley Hull in European team against United States

England’s Charley Hull and Ireland’s Leona Maguire are among eight automatic qualifiers for Europe’s Solheim Cup team that will play the United States next month.

Hull and Maguire are joined by France’s Celine Boutier, Spain’s Carlota Ciganda, Germany’s Esther Henseleit and the Swedish trio of Maja Stark, Linn Grant and Madelene Sagstrom.

Captain Suzann Pettersen will announce her four wildcard picks for the 12-man squad on Monday, August 26 at 16:00 (BST).

Europe enters the 19th edition of the event as winners, having retained the title with a 14-14 draw last year in Spain, after winning the previous two editions.

The 2024 Solheim Cup will be held September 13-15 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.
