Rain takes centre stage at Danish championship

Rain fell on the afternoon of the $2.5 million Danish Golf Championship, weather conditions that forced the organizers of the Scandinavian tournament to postpone a large part of the second round until 8:00 tomorrow morning.

Several golfers had already completed their rounds, but at least as many were busy with the second half of the day’s round.

Danish, results

This applies, for example, to the leader of the provisional ranking, Rasmus Højgaard, who starts again from hole 12 and is no longer the sole leader from -5.

There are even 5 at the top of the rankings, with the host being joined by the French Adrian Saddier and Frederic Lacroix (10), his compatriot Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and the Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan.

On the par 71 course of the Lubker Golf Resort in Aarhus (Denmark), the top ten in sixth place with a score of -4 are the Frenchman Romain Langasque (11), the Swede Christopher Blomstrand, the Indian Shubhankar Sharma and the Englishmen Brandon Robinson Thompson, Joe Dean, David Horsey and Andrew Wilson (10).

Right behind them is the group with our Andrea Pavan. The Italian had started strongly and made two birdies in the first 7 holes. A start that brings him to the thirteenth position with a score of -3. Francesco Laporta completed the round instead and easily passed the cut and closed the half of the race with a score of -2.

Lorenzo Scalise will continue tomorrow, dancing on the edge of the cut zone after yesterday’s +1. The Italian has 8 holes to improve his schedule. Renato Paratore tumbles, who draws a disastrous +6 and says goodbye to Denmark.

Finally, a proud reaction for Filippo Celli, author of an excellent -3 of the day that was not enough to avoid the cut after the terrible debut round. The rules of golf are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they are played outdoors, close to nature and animals.

Respecting the rules is a basic element of the game of golf. This game is almost always based on self-control and the free conscience of the players. However, the results are often distorted, sometimes consciously, but often also unconsciously or through carelessness, because many players do not adhere to the rules of the game.

In addition to the rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct known as etiquette, which generally means that the game must be played with due respect for the course and other players. Etiquette is an essential part of this sport.
