Australian Olympian Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn signs with influencer agency

Raygun has signed a contract with an artist agency, but there are indications that the breakdancer has already missed the boat.

Rachael Gunn, who used the name ‘Raygun’ during her much-hyped performance at the Paris Olympics, continues to feature prominently in the Australian media.

This week, Gunn, 36, was linked to an appearance on an upcoming season of “I’m a Celebrity… Get me out of here!” and she’s now signed with influencer marketing agency Born Bred Talent.

Gunn, who now has 197,000 followers on Instagram, added a contact from the agency to her bio on the platform.

The old saying goes that all publicity is good publicity and Gunn has received a lot of media attention in Australia and around the world since her performance at the Games, where she pulled out the sprinkler, did a snake imitation and did a kangaroo jump.

Adele, Jimmy Fallon and DJ Fatboy Slim have all since referenced Gunn, with the latter saying: “We would have given you a 10 out of 10, Rachael” alongside a hilarious video in which he compares her moves to those in his music video for the mega-hit Price You.

Gunn finally broke her silence last week with a social media post and subsequently made a guest appearance at the TV Week Logies Awards.

But a public relations expert thinks the Australian may have waited too long to convert all that coverage into lucrative deals.

“If she took this seriously, she should have done five international talk shows by now,” the expert said. Daily Mail Australia.

“Raygun has heard some of the biggest stars in the world talk about her and do impersonations of her.

“(But) the best her management could have come up with was a pre-recorded message at the Logies.”

In her recorded social media post, Gunn stressed that she had given her all during the Olympics and asked for an end to the harassment from her “family, friends, the breaking community.”

Now Gunn is said to have caught the attention of the producers of I am a celebrity.

The show, which sees a number of celebrities thrown into a campsite and involves a series of challenges and eliminations before the winner is announced, was unveiled for its tenth season earlier this year.

It’s no surprise then that Gunn is reportedly a perfect addition to the next series.

It would be a lucrative move for Gunn, who may be running out of time if she wants to capitalize on her meteoric rise to fame.

The Olympic jury did not award her any prizes for her performances during her three participations in Paris.

Gunn, the Oceania continental champion, won a lot of new fans with her self-deprecating humor, but the judges – and most of the world – saw it differently.
