Hackers Just Got a Virtual Boy-esque Version of Bloodborne Running on PC – Destructoid

BloodborneThe PC version of is the most wanted game in the world — just above Bloodborne just at 60 FPS on PlayStation. Not a week goes by on the internet without us hearing new rumors that Bloodborne is well on its way to finally grace PC gamers with its bloody awesomeness. Sadly, it’s not a reality yet, but rogue gaming science is getting us closer.

Not long ago, hacker DwE announced that he had been able Bloodborne to run on PC via the shadPS4 emulator, but it only had audio output. That may seem bad, but it was a sign that something could come of it. Over a month later, we heard that DwE is finally playable bloodborne, although the images are slightly different than you would expect:

The tweet above is in Portuguese, but the gist of it is easy to understand. DwE uses Linux and has modified the look of the game to prevent the emulator from crashing. Therefore, it looks less like the PC version of Bloodborne and more like it came from Nintendo’s Virtual Boy.

I really like the black and red color palette. It really emphasizes the idea that this version is probably cursed and that you probably shouldn’t play it, but I know it might not be the most eye-pleasing experience if you plan on playing the game for more than 10 minutes at a time.

An even more recent video shows the game without color correction, but the sound and even much of the video are far too bad to really enjoy.

But if you think a spooky version of Bloodborne If the only news we’d get on this project for a while on PC is good news. ShadPS4’s Twitter account has just revealed a screenshot of the retail version of the game running on PC with the correct colors.

What does that mean? I don’t know, but I’m certainly looking forward to what’s coming.
