Chicago Sky debutant Angel Reese has done it again.

Reese recorded her 19th double-double of the season on Saturday with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Sky’s 90-86 win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Reese wasn’t the only Sky rookie to shine in the team’s first game back after the WNBA hiatus for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Kamilla Cardoso scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Sky’s win, marking the fourth time this season the duo have had a double-double on the same night, which is the WNBA’s leading scorer.

Reese’s 19th double-double of the season comes after the rookie set a WNBA record in July by doing so in 15 consecutive games.

Reese is now nine double-doubles away from a single-season WNBA career file of the 28 that Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas posted in 2023.

I know she doesn’t care about records…but I do 😏 another double double 😎

Reese made 4 of 13 field goals and 6 of 8 free throws in the win, but she stood out most for her defensive efforts.

The rookie grabbed 10 defensive rebounds en route to the double-double and was also effective in her duel with three-time All-Star Dearica Hamby.

Reese had one assist and one block as he helped Sky to victory.

She, Kardoso and Sky will be back in action on Sunday evening with another away match against Phoenix Mercury.
