Eighties pop icon Tiffany Darwish is unrecognizable decades after her number one hit.

At 52, the singer has opted for a chicer look than she did in the ’80s, although she still rocks her iconic red hair.

The singer posts regularly on Instagram and her recent photos have caught fans’ attention, including a post from a Halloween party in which she “dressed for the 80s.”

Tiffany is known for her iconic cover of Tommy James and the Shondells’ I Think We’re Alone Now, which dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in 1987 and remains a musical staple of the era.

This success was reinforced by her Beautiful You: Celebrating The Good Life Shopping Mall Tour ’87, which cemented her status as a pop sensation.

Her follow-up hit Could’ve Been also topped the charts in early 1988.

Tiffany has released eleven studio albums throughout her career.

Her other top 10 songs, such as All This Time and her Beatles cover I Saw Him Standing There, have become beloved ’80s songs in their own right.

Earlier this year, Tiffany made headlines by appearing in the British version of The Masked Singer as the Eiffel Tower.

She was eliminated from the finals after the judges incorrectly guessed several identities, including Lisa Stansfield and Lindsay Lohan, but ultimately missed the mark on her true identity.

During Tiffany’s performance at Rewind Festival North this summer, she shared the stage with other musical legends such as Gabrielle, Kim Wilde, Boyzlife, Billy Ocean and Midge Ure.

Tiffany’s festival appearance was a triumph for the singer in more ways than one. She survived a harrowing car accident last year when a truck tire struck her vehicle on Interstate 65 in Nashville.

At the time, she expressed gratitude that she had emerged unscathed and pointed out the possibility of a much more serious accident.

Additionally, in 2021, the singer was filmed swearing at fans during a show in Florida, and later revealed that she had a panic attack and meltdown during the performance.

Her performance revealed a clip of her failing to hit the notes of her famous 1987 hit before telling the audience, “F–k you guys, I’ll pin this.”

‘This is my hit!’

She later posted an apology video on Instagram saying:

Tiffany said, “Hey guys, can we chat?”

‘I’m so sorry. I panicked. It’s not often that I lose my voice and I stood up there and absolutely had a panic attack, a meltdown.

‘And out of frustration I said things I didn’t mean at all. I love you very much.

“And I just want to thank everyone who has been concerned, giving me love, and I’ve just been shocked the last few days because I just haven’t been in that situation.

“I’m proud to come and bring it to my shows and I love being with you guys and I had no idea I had a vocal problem.”

“I’m not sick, and I got there and it just wasn’t there and it literally scared me.”
