Therese is active with a busy schedule and has had her eye on various deals for a while. She told GOBankingRates that she wants to add some things to her life, but she is very selective. “I’m at a point in my life where I’m downsizing instead of accumulating, so I’m extremely picky.”

These are the seven things this retiree plans to buy on Amazon Prime Day.

While this Yeti cooler is larger than she’s used to, Therese is often responsible for the snacks for her chair volleyball league and wants to keep everything, well, cool.

“Not only is this perfect for chair volleyball, I also see it as a community investment because I know other people in my community will want to borrow it,” she said.

Amazon eero Mesh WiFi router/extender

Improving the internet connection at home is a priority for Therese. Luckily, her son is nearby to help her install this advanced router.

“My old router just doesn’t cut it anymore, especially when the grandkids come to visit and everyone is on their own device,” she said.

Although Therese is a different kind of senior, she says this college cookbook is actually quite useful.

“I’m always looking for simple recipes,” she said. “This free cookbook gives me fresh ideas for quick, easy, and best of all, inexpensive meals.”

Therese is looking forward to using it on her daily walks. “It allows me to enjoy my audiobooks and music without annoying wires getting in the way,” she said.

Therese is active, healthy and aware of the possible consequences of impure air for her well-being.

“I’m much more aware of the air quality in my apartment these days,” she added. “I have an air purifier that I bought in the early days of COVID and I want to test how effective it is.”

Samsonite luggage

Therese loves to travel and with a 10-day trip to Italy coming up, she needs better luggage. “I didn’t travel much when I was younger because I just didn’t have any money. But now the world is my oyster and I’m diving in,” she said.

She said she researched many brands and Samsonite was the best, but also one of the more expensive brands, and now she can travel in style on a budget.

Therese said she is excited to upgrade her toothbrush. “My dentist has been recommending an electric toothbrush for years and now I have no excuse not to,” she explained.
