Is it too early to ask for a statue of Emma Hayes?

All joking aside, although Hayes didn’t take over until November 2023, she has had an incredible impact and stamp on the organization.

The United States was frustrated by its poor performance at the 2023 Women’s World Cup and the team was in dire need of a new leader.

Hayes is a tactically skilled manager with a history of winning silverware. Hayes showed why the United States Soccer Federation hired her with her tactical substitutions in the second half.

As Brazil bypassed the US midfield, Hayes stuck brilliantly to her instincts, imploring the US to press high and often, leading to Mallory Swanson’s spatially aware goal in the 57th minute.

But despite all the good things Hayes has done, there is still one small point of criticism to be made about the lack of rotation.

In the first 45 minutes, Brazil were able to exploit the United States in that regard, with Naomi Girma appearing to be a step too slow, mainly due to fatigue.

Fortunately, the US was able to hold its ground. At this point, all complaints have become irrelevant to gold mining.
