49ers sign T Brandon Parker

The status of left tackle Trent Williams for next Monday’s season opener against the Jets remains uncertain until he plays for the 49ers and the team looks to add some depth to its offensive line on Monday.

The 49ers have announced that they have signed tackle Brandon Parker to the active roster, filling the spot vacated by wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who is on the non-football injury list.

Parker signed with the 49ers in March and remained with the team until last week’s cutdown day, so he will be familiar with the offense when he returns to action next Monday. Parker has 59 regular-season games of experience, including five with the Raiders last season.

The Niners also signed defensive lineman Sam Okuayinonu to the practice squad and released offensive lineman Sebastian Gutierrez.
