35-year-old man injured in accident in Vile Parle

In a hit-and-run incident, a 35-year-old unidentified man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by an unknown vehicle on Sahar Road in Vile Parle, East on Saturday. Vile Parle police are currently examining CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved.

Police received information about the accident at 5:30 am and upon arrival police found the man, who had been taken to the side of the road by locals, seriously injured. There were at least four witnesses at the scene; a witness, Anurag Singh, reported that no one could note the vehicle’s registration number. Officers searched the victim’s pockets but found no identification or other identifying information. He was transported to Cooper Hospital where he is being treated in the intensive care unit.
