A very satisfying rehearsal for the Blues. The French volleyball team won the fourth Nations League in its history by beating Japan (3-1) in Lodz, Poland on Sunday 30 June.

The Blues showed composure in key moments of the match, winning their three sets by two points (25-23). The Japanese will have managed to run riot in the second act (25-19), but not enough to panic a team that had the luxury of almost not playing its captain, Earvin Ngapeth, in the tournament.

Andrea Giani’s men have surpassed their goal of reaching the semi-finals. Above all, they secured themselves a prestigious victory, with a pincer, against Poland, world number one and reigning champions, after beating Les Bleus last year. In an electric and hostile atmosphere in Lodz, Les Bleus were able to measure themselves and offer guarantees. A very good omen 26 days before Paris 2024.
