WR notes: Justin Jefferson comes bye against a Lions defense that just lost Aidan Hutchinson and is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to the receiver. … How dominant it has been Malik Nabersbeen used? He hasn’t played since Week 4 and still ranks ninth in wide receiver targets. The Eagles have already given up a ton of fantasy WR points, but are now dealing with a broken Darius Slay (knee). …I still don’t understand Ja’Marr Chase‘s relative lack of looks, but he has gained at least 72 yards in each of his past four games, with an average of 117 yards. That thrilling piece coincided with Tee Higginsreturn and goal commands, so Chase can likely continue to drive home with efficiency while the defense is unable to sell out to stop him. … AJ Brown has gone at least 5/116/1 in each of his two outings. … Amon-Ra St. Brown scores an average of eight goals, after that number was ten last season. In five games he reached double figures once. Working to his future advantage in fantasy is the unfortunate loss of Aidan Hutchinson. This will be a worse Lions defense, one that is much more prone to shootouts.

Drake London is to the point where he commands 10 targets even in the Falcons’ run-heavy game scripts. Fantasy managers can dream of a blissful bonanza in Sunday’s glorious dome showdown with the Seahawks. … Once again the owner of one of the highest floors in fantasy football, Chris Godwin has a monstrous ceiling in Week 7 versus a Ravens defense that is getting wrecked for 276 weekly passing yards and over eight yards per attempt. … Diontae Johnson has moved all the way to second in the league in red zone goals (10). Not a big surprise considering he’s third in overall goals. While the Panthers are big underdogs, this, combined with a soft Washington pass D, makes this a Diontae hit spot. …We’re actually getting an improved version from 2023 Stefon Diggs. No more ceiling weeks. Very few attempts where the bottom falls out. He will explore the WR10-14 range in Green Bay. … Tank Dell had a “disappointing” Week 6 behind Diggs – where he scored nine goals and a touchdown. He will combine a safe floor with a high ceiling for the remainder of Nico Collins’ time on injured reserve.

Kuiper Kupp‘s (ankle) return no longer looks like a Week 7 slam dunk. If Kupp approves, Tutu Atwel will be a zero-floor WR4 at best Jordan Whittington will be a zero ceiling WR5. If Kupp plays, expect full steam ahead. You don’t bring back a player of his caliber after such a long absence unless it is for his usual role. … Jayden Reed (single) is questionable. Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) is questionable. Everything about the Packers’ receiver corps is questionable after the return of Christian Watson And Romeo Doubs. It seems like everyone will eventually take the field against the Texans, but Reed’s sore foot and improved target competition have him looking like a WR2 for Week 7. Everyone else? The pile-up makes it difficult for Wicks, Doubs and Watson to crack the top 36 as we wait for more data points to emerge. … Featuring a bizarre version of his pre-Jayden Daniels seasons, Terry McLaurin turns relatively modest goal totals into huge fantasy days. Matchups don’t get much better than the Panthers. … Zay Flowers finally produces consistently when the Ravens actually pass. Expect them to “actually have to pass” against a Bucs get that is better through the air than on the ground.

Deebo SamuelThe WR2’s floor and ceiling feel is improving as injuries plague the 49ers backfield. … Davante Adams in New York, what does this all mean? For starters, Adams’ “hamstring injury” predictably disappeared as soon as he left the jetway in New York. Despite predictably ‘improved’ health, it’s still tempting to give Adams an ‘easy’ week in the rankings. It’s been three years since he played with Aaron Rodgers, while the Steelers are a tough matchup. But – but – given the desperation with which both sides pursued this marriage and the Jets’ genuine need for more quality targets in their offense, Adams will, at worst, be a mid-range WR2 for his Jets debut. … Where does that leave us? Garrett Wilson? Hopefully higher targets will be set in the field. Emphasis on hopefully. Wilson has become quite accustomed to compiling the midrange through years of boring quarterback play. Rodgers still has the arm to do deep damage, though, and Wilson profiles so much better than either Allen Lazard or an apparently outcast Mike Williams. … Tyreek Hill And Jaylen Waddle? We can pin our hopes on the fact that the Dolphins had an entire bye week to figure out ways to get them the ball against a really bad Colts defense.

Josh Downs is everyone’s favorite WR2 who falls on the WR3/4 line if Anthony Richardson is finally cleared. He’ll still maintain his lead against a downtrodden Dolphins D. … Brian Thomas Jr. was on the verge of WR1 usage before Evan Engram returned. Now it’s all too likely that Trevor Lawrence is too partial to Engram’s safer look. … JuJu Smith-Schuster‘s 100-yard Week 5, fact or fiction? I lean closer to the former than the latter. Because no matter how washed JuJu is, there remains a huge difference between an actually established, smart NFL running these routes and hitting these targets, compared to also-rans like Justin Watson, Skyy Moore, etc. Patrick Mahomes simply has nowhere else to go either aim the ball. … It has been a comprehensive collapse of production and efficiency Amari Kuiper this season – with the worst quarterback of all time. Not the worst QB of all time? Josh Allen. In addition to raising Cooper’s floor, it’s completely reasonable to expect Allen and Cooper to have success if they freelance together in the field. … If you believe in the post-bye rookie bump, you believe in it Xavier Waard looks better in an offense that desperately needs more involvement for the first-round wideout. … The owner of a large target share in an offense that could finally pass more, Ladd McConkey could be a steady climber in the second half.
