2024 All-Space Coast Boys Lacrosse Team Named by FLORIDA TODAY

Michael Howkins, Holy Trinity

FLORIDA TODAY Boys Lacrosse Player of the Year

Michael Howkins has scored against every team Holy Trinity played this season.

The athlete who coach Eric Marr described as “spectacular” ended his boys’ lacrosse career with the Tigers by signing the paperwork committing to the Montevallo men’s lacrosse program in Alabama. His ceremony in the Holy Trinity auditorium kicked off the day of book signings in Brevard County on the first Wednesday morning in February.

He is the FLORIDA TODAY Boys Lacrosse Player of the 2024 Season.

During the year Howkins scored 63 goals in 18 matches, an average of 3.5 per appearance. He assisted on another 32 goals and picked up 30 ground balls. He scored three or more goals 12 times during the 2024 season, with his highest mark being seven against Lake Nona.

Howkins was also named to last year’s inaugural All-Space Coast Boys Lacrosse team by FLORIDA TODAY, and he was voted to the All-Cape Coast Conference team by coaches when he previously played at Cocoa Beach.
