2 motorcyclists taken to hospital after accident with another motorbike at BKE

SINGAPORE – Two men have been taken to hospital after their motorcycles were involved in an alleged accident with another motorcycle at BKE on the morning of Nov 20, police said.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) were informed of the accident along the BKE towards the PIE after the Dairy Farm exit at around 9.45am the same day.

The two motorists, aged 20 and 23, were conscious when they were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the other to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, police and SCDF said.

The police investigation is ongoing.

Road accidents claimed the lives of 136 people in 2023, an increase of 25.9 percent from the 108 deaths in 2022.

In 2023, motorcyclists or co-drivers were involved in more than half of all traffic accidents and were responsible for half of the deaths resulting from traffic accidents.
