Aleasha Kalinski, Santa Catalina: Kalinski, who was somewhat overshadowed last fall, quietly managed to score over 170 kills and led the team with 75 blocks on the volleyball court.

The incoming senior had eight matches with five or more blocks, including a season-high eight in a three-set match. Kalinski is one of the Cougars’ best servers.

Ava Staehle, Carmel: Staehle returned last season as the Padres leader in goals, scoring 10 goals and a team-high 22 points in hockey.

Staehle, a three-sport athlete, is among the fastest players on the field, with the ability to sprint past a defense. Last fall, she was effective anywhere within the 10-yard range.

Noah Heath and Marina: Heath, the team’s top returning receiver, runs good routes, has good hands and adds yards after the catch.

The senior caught a pair of touchdown passes for an offense that was challenged by youth last season. Heath will also serve as a defensive back for Marina.
