‘1000-lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton responds to Amy Slaton’s pregnancy rumors

Tammy Slaton has responded to new rumors about her family.

The “1000-lb Sisters” star, 38, posted a video to TikTok on Monday, addressing speculation that her sister Amy Slaton is pregnant with what would be her third child. Amy, 37, is already a mother to two sons, Gage, 3, and Glenn, 2. She had the boys with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, who filed for divorce in March 2023.

“I wish people would stop spreading rumors, but I’m here to tell you that Amy is not pregnant,” Tammy said in her TikTok video.

The reality TV star also commented on another rumor spreading online that her sister-in-law Brittany had died.

“(Brittany) didn’t die,” Tammy added.

Brittany is married to Tammy’s brother, Chris, and has appeared with the family on “1000-lb Sisters.”

Fans of the TLC personality applauded Tammy for shutting down the rumors.

Tammy has previously responded to speculation about her family and online criticism. In January, she clapped back at an online critic who told her to “fix those teeth,” while also addressing numerous other comments made about her appearance.

“With all due respect, I wish people like you would stop saying this kind of nonsense,” she told viewers. “It’s not good for my self-confidence. I was trying to keep my self-confidence up and seeing comments about my chin or my teeth didn’t help.”

Tammy added that dental work is expensive and she can’t save enough money for a procedure.

“I had to calm myself down before I answered because I really wanted to attack you. “I really wanted to tell you that if you really have a problem with my teeth, you have to pay for it yourself,” she said. “But I don’t want to be that person. I don’t want to be rude.

“I try to improve my life and myself. We should lift people up. It doesn’t matter if I’m missing teeth,” Tammy continued. “It’s sad. Why hate? Why can’t you just appreciate the hard work I put in? Why can’t you just appreciate that I’m still alive? Yes, I have flaws. I’m human… But I’m not going to let you or anyone else ruin my day.”

In another TikTok video posted at the time, Tammy shared how proud she was of losing 500 pounds. The reality star underwent bariatric surgery in July 2022 and weighed 285 pounds in January, down from 725 pounds.

In addition to the weight loss, Tammy’s surgery had other benefits.

“I actually wanted to talk about my hair. If y’all watched, you’ll see in episode three of the fourth season that I had red curly hair in the beginning,” Amy said in a video, in response to a commenter who complimented her hair. “That was last February and my hair has grown so much since then,” she added with a smile.

“So the surgery really did a great job for my hair, for my body and for my health. And for my everything! “I’m proud of myself, I’m proud of my hair… it’s a work in progress.”
