With a new bundle of joy comes drama and speculation.

In the November 12 episode of The Real Housewives of New York CityRumors of an unexpected pregnancy started circulating when Erin Lichy told fellow housewives Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield that Rebecca Minkoff was expecting — but her husband Gavin wasn’t the father.

“It’s not confirmed,” Erin said before Jessel asked how she knew for sure the rumors were true. ‘Because we have a mutual friend. She had a crazy night.”

“It’s very, very early and she’s very stressed about it,” she continued. Although Rebecca didn’t reveal the baby’s paternity, Erin claimed she heard from a third party that the fashion designer didn’t know “who the father is.”

As Brynn and Jessel’s jaws dropped at the shocking revelation, Brynn told the cameras that she “didn’t trust the quiet people.”

“I’m loud and I’m damn prudish. I would have never known my wildest dreams,” she added.

Later in the episode, the housewives gathered for a friendly game of dodgeball. Before the teams were called and the balls started flying, Brynn replayed the drama, telling Racquel Chevremont and Sai De Silva that she had heard a “crazy rumor” about Rebecca.

“I heard she’s a freak in the sheets… They have fun with other people and stuff. No matter the consequences,” she said slyly before revealing that Rebecca paid the “biggest kind” price and “got another man’s baby man got.” .”

In a hush-hush conversation with Jessel, Brynn claimed she called some of Gavin’s friends and asked them to verify the couple’s sexual proclivities. She claimed the two were into “hippies—” and Gavin didn’t “mind” that Rebecca was carrying someone else’s child.

Word soon spread to other housewives and when Jenna Lyons and Ubah Hassan arrived, Sai filled them in. While rumors spread like wildfire, silence fell when Rebecca finally arrived. She confessed that she felt nauseous due to food poisoning.

The ladies started their game of dodgeball and after a cheerful game, Jenna took Rebecca aside to subtly let her know that people were talking behind her back.

“I just want you to be very careful,” Jenna said, refusing to discuss the rumors. When Rebecca asked her to describe the things that were going on, Jenna gave her a single look that she immediately understood.

“Erin, did you tell her?” Rebecca asked across the room. When she claimed she only told Brynn and Jessel, Rebecca left the field with Erin chasing after her.

Outside, away from prying eyes and ears, the two friends hugged as Erin laughed, “That was good!”
